Welcome to Cindy and David's 2014 Adventures
England - Poole
The most important thing about visiting the cousins in Poole is we can never find our way to their house, even after countless visits! So David organised a Google map which we photographed and it WORKED. We found it without having had to phone and request rescuing!
Kingston Lacy - David did the inside tour and the rest of us did the gardens having done the house previously.
We spent time in Christchurch which is a lovely little town with an enormous Priory. Missed seeing over it by about a minute.
No visit to Poole is complete with a trip across to Brownsea Island. Lovely walk and we were briefly entertained by a cute little red squirrel.
Below is the castle viewed from the ferry.
Maureen and Michael's garden where we had lunch every day.
Another delightful guided London Walk. This time we toured the "Shakespeare and Dickens's London".
The curved paving in the picture on the left was the edge of the Roman arena where Gladiators fought
The statue to Shakespeare and the plaque which celebrates the two fellow actors who found and published his work and made his genius available to the world
An old building that survived the incendiary bombs of the second world war in this area
