2020 Sawtell
Part of our holiday happened to coincide with school holidays. Julia found accommodation at the Boambie Resort and brought the grandies to share the delights of Sawtell. (Maggie found her own particular delight in the resort swimming pool!) This of course was the best few days we have spent away for quite some time! Such fun.
Mid-Winter water temperatures did not put Maggie off a swim in the resort pool, watched by the water dragon.
The walk along the pathway from the water-tower to the staircase at the end of the beach starts 200 metres from the lower gate of the resort where the family was staying
After the family returned to Sydney, we explored the board-walk at Urunga which follows the path of the Bellinger River to the mouth of the river. It is an exceedingly long walk!
The rail bridge mentioned on a previous page was close by their resort and we had all experienced walking across it and having a train cross it at that moment. Absolutely horrific! Noise and movement........the train being about a foot in distance away from us! Hammering hearts there for a while.
