Welcome to Cindy and David's 2016 Adventures
THEN we came to the star of the Wales trip, Rhossili. What a beautiful place! A long walk out to the coastguard's house across from some small islands and a lovely pub placed so that lunch/afternoon tea could be taken whilst taking in views over the most beautiful beach we had ever seen anywhere in the UK (with apologies to Polzeath -see later).
The following day dawned bright and clear and off we went to further explore The Gower. After the Oystermouth Castle we drove to the end of the peninsular where we had had been advised to lunch at the King Arthur hotel. Well worth it.
After lunch we drove a short distance to King Arthur's Stone on a desolate hill-top amongst the cows and wild horses. King Arthur's stone is a large boulder in the middle of some moors from where the countryside could be viewed for miles around (being watched carefully by a number of the wild horses of the area). It would seem King Arthur threw a stone away from him and this is where it landed and somehow or other it became this mammoth boulder (?)

Neil (cousin) joined us for a couple of nights, arriving after work in London by train.
