Welcome to Cindy and David's 2018 Adventures
01 Sydney to Scotts Head
Our first stop was at Scotts Head which is 10k south of Nambucca.
We must have passed the turn-off sign a hundred times on our way to and from Coffs Harbour and never failed to mention the desire to stop there. We finally made it.
Not much to do there but it is very beautiful. Plus there were a number of other tiny villages to visit in the area, all with nothing much but stunning beaches on offer such as Grassey Head, Stuarts Point and Forster Beach.
We took a walk up the path to the lookout at Grassy Head but, alas, the pathway was overgrown and sopping wet from the overnight rain. We turned back at the memorial stone to Alexamder McKenzie who drowned in the river in 1857 aged 22 while prospecting for gold.
See if you can spot the pathway ?
The local council obviously has a good sense of humour!
We did find a bowling club for dinner one night - listened to great 60's music compliments of an elderley DJ and also won a good sized meat tray!!!
